The wedge nuts are aluminum and stripped, probably due to overtightening. Proper service probably avoids the problem, but things which are marginal may be prone to field failures with long service, and parts which strip easily may be difficult to service in the field. For example, a loose chain might be adjusted in the field, but then the eccentric could strip due to tightening without a torque wrench.
