Hand-made (USA) steel silver-brazed fork fails at crown.

Fork made by USA builder. Maker and service history unknown.

Crown was brazed around the edges of the lug, but not heated sufficiently to draw the braze in to the full contact area. Crown broke along the edge of the braze line.
